APA Group can advise that a repair crew of approximately 40 fitters visited more than 5,000 residences in the Gold Coast region last night affected by a loss of gas supply following a third-party damage incident at Coomera yesterday. This morning crews revisited almost 400 residences where access was not available.
Urgent works and planning to ensure that gas can be restored safely are continuing in consultation with regulatory authorities including the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy. A staged process of reconnecting residents will commence early this afternoon and continue this evening and throughout tomorrow. A further update will be provided as the reconnection process commences.
